Two companies on ReplaceMRR report replacing Klaviyo.

At Kling.to, a direct-to-consumer store, the developer running email built a self-hosted email marketing system on Amazon SES after Klaviyo announced a price rise; the store had been paying about $400 a month. Scratch Golf moved its email flows into its own back office, ending a Klaviyo bill of about $60 a month.

Together the two companies report saving about $460 a month. Neither story gives a running cost for the replacement, so the cut can't be measured precisely; SES sending fees are usually small next to a platform subscription.

Both moves went live in 2026. Neither company has reported going back to Klaviyo.

Klaviyo's price rises with the number of active profiles, so a growing list pushes the bill up even if sending volume stays flat. Both stories trade that for software the company runs itself. They give up Klaviyo's built-in e-commerce segmentation and flows, which have to be rebuilt or done without. Larger stores with complex automation are not yet represented here.
